Another COVID-19 death has been reported in Chatham-Kent.
A total of 59 Chatham-Kent residents have died from the virus since the pandemic began in March of 2020, public health officials say.
Public health officials say the latest death was a man in his 50’s.
CK Public Health officials say 18 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday, increasing the total number of cases to 7,142 since the pandemic began.
A total of five people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, public health officials added.
The current seven day rolling average case count (average number per day) sits at 10.
Public health officials say two outbreaks are active across Chatham-Kent:
– An outbreak at an un-named group home, declared on March 10, 2022, involves seven cases.
– An outbreak at Tilbury Manor Nursing Home, declared on March 9, 2022, involves four cases.
A total of 215,544 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 85,142 people 5+ have received at least one dose, 81,910 people 5+ have received two doses and 49,670 people 5+ have received three doses.
