Suspicious person arrested on warrants
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning around 11 a.m. police responded to the area of Grand Ave West and Courthouse Lane in response a suspicious male attempting to enter parked vehicles.
Police located the accused and learned he was currently wanted in relation to two separate investigations for Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
The 39 year old Chatham man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he has been held for bail.
Male arrested for theft and possession
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening at approximately 9 p.m. police were called to business on St. Clair Street in Chatham in response to a male stealing items.
The male was identified and later located in the area.
Police located the male and subsequently the accused has been charged and arrested with one count of Breach of Probation, one count of Theft Under $5,000 and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.
A 30-year-old Chatham man was released with conditions and a future court date of April 22, 2022.
Male arrested for intoxicated in a public place
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening police attended a parking lot of a business in Wallaceburg in response to a male acting out and making reference to breaking the window of a vehicle.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for being Intoxicated in a Public Place and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held pending release when sober.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police responded to 47 hang up/accidental 911 calls in the last 24 hour period.
