Youth basketball in Wallaceburg is back.
Starting Monday, April 4 to April 27, players will have an opportunity to have fun, hone their abilities and make new friends in preparation for a full season in the fall, Lee O’Neil, a teacher and coach at WDSS and the youth basketball organizer, said on social media.
“The focus of this month of action will be skills/drills,” O’Neil said.
“However, the odd scrimmage might take place.”
Rookie basketball players, in the four to seven-year-old age group, will play from 6 p.m. to 6:55 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday nights at WDSS in the big gym.
The eight to 11-year-old age group will also play on Monday and Wednesday nights in April from 7 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. at WDSS in the big gym.
“The cost will be determined once we know our number of registrants,” O’Neil said.
If anyone is interested in registering their child or helping coach, email O’Neil at leeoneil3@gmail.com.
