Man arrested for mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at 7:41 a.m., police responded to mischief at a business on Lowe Avenue in Wallaceburg.

The man was observed breaking a window on a vehicle on the property.

A description of the man was provided to the police.

Police arrived and located the man a short distance away, and he was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

Upon arrest, the man was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

The 44-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with uttering threats, mischief, and possession of a controlled substance.

He was released with conditions and a future court date of June 30, 2022.

Man arrested for bail violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 29, 2022, the man was released from custody with conditions including not being within 100 meters of the woman.

On May 17, 2022, the woman observed the man and contacted the police to report the breach of conditions.

Through investigation, police determined the man had violated his bail conditions.

On May 26, 2022, the man turned himself into the police.

The 45-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with release conditions, and he was held pending a bail hearing.
