Man arrested for assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:06 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Hannibal Street in Blenheim.

Through investigation, police learned two men had been in a physical altercation on the property.

One man was determined to be the aggressor and arrested.

The 22-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault.

He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of July 20, 2022.

Woman issued a three-day suspension

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at 5:32 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Middle Line in Tilbury East Township.

Police believed the driver to be driving while under the influence of alcohol, and she was arrested.

The woman was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.

The 30-year-old Staples woman was issued a 3-day license suspension, several Provincial Offences Notices and released.

Woman arrested for facilitating a breach of conditions

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at 6:33 p.m., police began investigating a bail violation.

Through investigation, police learned a man was on conditions not to communicate with the woman.

The man was walking on Park Avenue in Chatham, and the woman was following him.

It was determined the man was actively trying to avoid the woman.

Police located the woman and arrested her for facilitating a breach of conditions.

She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.

The conditions included not communicating with the man or attending any place he is known to live or work.

At 10:42 p.m., police were called to the man’s home in Chatham.

Police learned the woman walked into the home uninvited, breaching her conditions.

She was located and arrested.

The 48-year-old Chatham woman was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Woman arrested for bail violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 31, 2022, the woman was released with conditions not to communicate with several people due to a criminal harassment investigation.

On June 19, 2022, police began an investigation into a breach of these conditions.

It was determined the woman had attended the residence and contacted a woman named in the release order.

On June 20, 2022, at 7:24 p.m., the woman was located and arrested for failing to comply with the undertaking.

She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
