Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team encourages continued mask use

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, primary care wants to ensure the safest experience for patients, physicians, and staff during appointments.

Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team officials say the Four Primary Care Sites in Chatham-Kent: Tilbury District Family Health Team, Chatham-Kent Family Health Team, Thamesview Family Health Team and Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres are asking that patients and any accompanying caregivers continue to wear a mask for all in-person appointments.

Also, patients are asked to report any COVID-like symptoms when booking the appointment, or upon arrival, so that staff may prepare for the visit accordingly.

Symptoms include:

– Fever or chills

– Cough

– Shortness of breath

– Decreased or loss of taste or smell

Two or more of:

– Runny nose or nasal congestion

– Headache

– Extreme fatigue

– Sore throat

– Muscle aches or joint pain

– Gastrointestinal symptoms (such as vomiting or diarrhea)
