Police: Tips sought after disturbance, drugs, domestic, drunk in public

Police looking for the public’s assistance

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early Sunday morning, around 2 a.m. police responded to a disturbance on King Street West in Chatham.

A 44-year-old Chatham man sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Cst. Nathan Pratt at nathanp@chatham-kent.ca.

Man charged with domestic related offence and drug possession

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday evening, police attended a residence in Dresden after receiving a 911 hang up call.

Through investigation, police learned that there was a man with numerous outstanding warrants located at the residence.

Police attended and after a short foot pursuit, the man was arrested.

As a result of this incident, the 24-year old Dresden man was charged for a domestic related breach of probation charge and drug possession.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 1:45 a.m. this morning, police responded to the report of an unwanted person at a residence on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg.

For her own safety, the intoxicated woman was taken into custody as she was unable to care for himself.

The 40-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

She will be released when sober.
