Dresden’s Abi Coffin and Wallaceburg’s Catie Dawson, along with their U15 Golden Eagles softball team, won gold medals this weekend in the PWSA Tier 2 Provincial Grand Championship.
The Chatham squad played eight games on their route to gold, losing only once.
The Golden Eagles topped Lucan-Ilderton Athletics in the final.
The tournament was held in Stratford, Ontario.
The team will be travelling to Newfoundland to compete in the Eastern Championship held in Portugal Cove.
The team consists of: Dawson, Coffin, Addison Dodman, Jaelyn Devine, Kamryn Hazell, Kendle Adams, Mya Delaet, Norrah Leveille, Elexis Wauthier, Sydney Nisbet, Sommer Dalgety, and Sydney Ahearn.
