Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, police responded to a vehicle complainant on Bloomfield Road in the city of Chatham.

Police located the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired operation of a conveyance.

He was subsequently transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters to provide breath samples.

The 17-year-old Chatham man blew nearly three times the legal limit.

He has been charged with; operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus).

He was released with a future court date.

Pair charged with stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, police located a vehicle on Michener Road in the city of Chatham.

Police checks revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen on August 26, 2022.

Police located a male and female exiting the vehicle.

Both parties were placed under arrest.

A 36-year-old Chatham man and a 37-year-old Chatham woman have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

They have been released pending a future court date.

Female charged with stolen credit card

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police received reports that a stolen credit card had been used at a business on Queen Street in Chatham.

Police attended the business and were able to identify the suspect.

Police located the 22-year-old Chatham woman shortly afterwards.

She was arrested and released with a future court date.
