Fentanyl, cocaine, and meth trafficking bust in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: Over the past several months members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit have been conducting an investigation regarding an individual suspected of trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine within the City of Sarnia.

On August 29, 2022, officers were conducting surveillance of the accused in this matter.

During the surveillance officers formed grounds to arrest the accused for the trafficking of drugs.

The accused was arrested in the area of Cambridge Crescent and Dukinfield Court in the City of Sarnia seated in the vehicle with a “bong” in her lap and what appeared to be either cocaine or methamphetamine in the pipe.

The accused initially resisted exiting the vehicle but officers were able to remove her from the vehicle and take her into custody.

It was also determined that the vehicle in this matter was uninsured and thus not to be on the road.

Once the accused and the vehicle were searched, officers located the following:

1) 33.65 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $6730

2) 50.53 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $5053

3) 13.54 grams of cocaine with a street value of $1354

4) Three codeine pills with a street value of $15

5) $1,670 in Canadian currency

As a result of their investigation, the accused, a 25-year-old Sarnia woman, faces the following charges:

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance (fentanyl) CDSA 5(2)

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance (cocaine) CDSA 5(2)

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance (methamphetamine) CDSA 5(2)

· Possession of a schedule I substance (codeine) CDSA 4(1)

· Operation of a motor of a motor vehicle while prohibited CC 320.18 (1)(a)

· Operate motor vehicle on a highway-no insurance Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act 2(1)

She remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
