Dennis Fox, Ward 4 – North Kent, Council Candidate

Dennis Fox is one of eight candidates running for one of two spots on Municipality of Chatham-Kent Council, representing Ward 4 – North Kent.

Fox told the Sydenham Current he operates a small home healthcare equipment business out of Chatham and Pain Court.

“I chose to run (for election) because I see a lot of unused potential here,” Fox said.

“I want to carve a safe community for my children to grow up in. I feel my ideas could benefit everyone in the municipality. We can do more to attract small businesses. We can improve our waterways, strengthen our coastlines and create more family friendly spaces to gather. We can expand the farming in the region, offer further incentives for farming innovations.”

Fox said he has a six-year-old daughter, a 13-year-old son and a 13-year-old stepson.

“They inspire me and I want to guide them and others to focus on the future and on helping their local communities thrive,” Fox added.

“I’m willing to stand alone against bad ideas and support great ideas. I’ll always listen and I’m always available.”

Fox said the people he’s met in various Ward 4 communities have been very responsive to his ideas.

“I’m excited to join council and represent everyone,” he said.

Election Day is October 24, 2022.
