Woman arrested for forgery
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:33 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Middle Line in Tilbury East Township.
Through investigation, police learned the woman was wanted on several outstanding warrants held by the Chatham-Kent Police related to a fraud investigation.
She was also wanted by the Ontario Provincial Police.
She was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
The 36-year-old Tilbury woman was charged with two counts of possession of the stolen property, two counts of forgery, three counts of uttering forged documents, personation with intent (identify fraud) and failing to attend court.
She was held pending a bail hearing.
Man arrested for violation of probation
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 12:41 p.m., police responded to Blake Street in Wallaceburg to investigate suspicious activity.
Police located the man in the area and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The man was wanted in relation to failing to comply with his probation order.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was released with a future court date.
Man arrested for theft
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:47 p.m., police responded to a theft at Walmart on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Upon arrival, police located the man and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to another theft investigation.
The 40-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and charged with theft and possession of the stolen property.
He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of February 6, 2023.
Man arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 3:08 p.m., police responded to a traffic complaint on William Street in Merlin.
Police located the vehicle on Middle Line, between Dillon Road and Four Rod Road in Raleigh Township.
Through investigation, the officer believed that the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and he was arrested.
The man was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
A 21-year-old Blenheim man was charged with having a blood alcohol level that exceeded the legal limit and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
He was released with conditions and a future court date of February 6, 2023.
