Karen Teresa DeLeary ‘Little Shell Woman’, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the age of 61.
Karen is the beloved daughter of Sylvia Teresa (Soney) and the late Ronald Kenneth ‘Buster’ DeLeary.
Much loved sister of David, Allen (Flora Kallies) and Kim DeLeary.
Dedicated Auntie of Summer, Anthony, Chloe, Maren, Melissa, Jessica, Ransom, Cole and Storm.
Karen was a good natured person who loved animals, her family, her community and the traditions of drumming and singing.
She was a graphic artist who was recognized for her ribbon work and Potawatomi art work.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, from 5 – 9 pm on Thursday and 6 – 9 pm on Friday, March 10.
