‘CBC Corner’ now available online through CKPL

Chatham-Kent Public Library patrons now have access to a new, free digital resource available through the Virtual Library on their website, www.ckpl.ca.

“Developed especially for public libraries, CBC Corner is a digital portal that brings together CBC & Radio-Canada’s audio, video and news content to keep patrons updated on Canadian stories and information,” library officials say.

“Content is updated throughout the day and can be accessed in both French & English.”

What is offered on CBC Corner?

– CBC News (locally relevant and national news)

– RCI (daily multilingual service offering news in Punjabi, Arabic, Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin)

– Mauril (language learning service offered on mobile devices and desktop to learn English or French using CBC/Radio-Canada content)

– CBC Gem (TV shows, movies, and documentaries)

– CBC Kids (educational and entertaining content specifically for kids) & CBC Kids News (news made by kids for kids)

– Also available are CBC Books, CBC Sports, CBC Archives, CBC Listen, CBC Radio, and CBC Music
