Woman arrested on outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 16, 2023, the woman was required to attend court in relation to several investigations.
When she failed to appear, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On January 15, 2024, at 2:20 p.m., the woman was located on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.
The warrants were confirmed, and the woman was arrested.
The 29-year-old Walpole Island woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
She faces the following charges: uttering threats, robbery, theft, failing to comply with a release order, two counts of possession of stolen property, and four counts of failing to attend court.
Man arrested on a bench warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:50 p.m. while conducting a well-being check on Faircourt Avenue in Chatham, officers located the man. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to attend court.
The 48-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released with a new court date. He faces the following charges: assault, assault with a weapon, mischief, theft, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
