Wallaceburg’s Brier Dawson, 17, recently won the Ontario VNEA 8-ball Championship in London on February 17, 2024.
Facing a field of 21 participants, Dawson went undefeated throughout the tournament.
This win is on top of his first-place finish in the Ontario 8-ball Shootout back in October.
Dawson will now play in the Canadian Championship in Niagara Falls in March and the World VNEA Junior Championships in Iowa in July.
Dawson would like to say thank you for all the support from his friends, family and local community, especially Rod Phillips from ‘CUEISTIC’ who has supplied him with a custom-made cue and accessories.
In addition, a Dawson is giving a huge thank you to the CBD in Wallaceburg, who has donated to youth sports, which in turn has helped him with several travel expenses.
