$33,531 worth of fentanyl seized after a drug bust in Sarnia

On April 16, 2024 at approximately 8:54 pm, the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team executed a controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in the 300 block of Wellington Street in Sarnia.

Officers made a successful entry into the residence without incident. Inside, three individuals were located and subsequently arrested.

During the search of the residence, officers discovered and seized 61.54 grams of suspected fentanyl, 91.14 grams of a suspected cutting agent and $2095 in cash. Additionally, a significant find of 18.08 grams of suspected ‘uncut’ fentanyl, believed by investigators to be of higher purity, was located within the premises.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Sarnia woman has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

She was held for bail hearing.

The estimated street value of the seized fentanyl amounts to approximately $33,531.
