Outstanding warrants executed in Wallaceburg and Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:18 a.m., police located the man on Wellington Street in Chatham.

The officer confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a February 2023 theft investigation.

The 41-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

He is currently facing the following charges: two counts of failing to attend court, two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:54 p.m., police located the man on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

The officer confirmed the man was wanted on outstanding warrants for an August 2023 fraud investigation and failing to attend court in relation to an October 2020 sexual assault investigation.

The man was also wanted by the Ontario Provincial Police.

The 52-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released to the OPP with conditions and a future court date of May 27, 2024.

He is currently facing the following charges: sexual assault, unlawful in a dwelling, break and enter and fraud.
