Mr. James Valentine “Jim” Matlovich, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 27, 2024 at the age of 67 years.
He was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late John and Helen (Svehla) Matlovich.
Beloved husband of Kathy (Bourdeau) Matlovich.
Loving father of Nicholas (Ashley), Matthew (Amanda) Stephen (Matthew) and Emily.
Dear papa to Vivianne, Vera, Vaughn, Carmen and Wyatt.
Kind brother of Charlotte (Michael), Marian (Paul), Robert, Cynthia, John (Lisa), Gerald, William & Karen.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jim was a dedicated diesel mechanic spending most of his working career at Wallaceburg Farm and Garden. He enjoyed bird watching and was very fond of eagles. He also enjoyed listening to Elvis, but mostly loved TV. He was a true surfer (of the channel variety) and rarely watched a commercial or the end of a show.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from
4- 7 p.m. with cremation to follow.
