Bernard Armstrong

With a heavy sadness, we suddenly had to say our peaceful goodbye to Bernard ā€œBernieā€ Armstrong, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away, on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at University Hospital in London at the age of 79 years.

Bernie was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, the son of the late Bernard and Clara (Flewellyn) Armstrong. Beloved and cherished husband of Patricia of 55 years.

Loving father of Charene (Jon) Bryan, Matthew Armstrong and Dave (Anne) Armstrong.

Cherished grandpa to Colin, Clara, Shannon, Kate and Ivy.

Kind brother of Mary Armstrong and David Armstrong, brother-in-law of Anne Armstrong, Nancy Armstrong and Linda Armstrong.

Predeceased by his sister Ann (the late Gerry) Oā€™Donoghue, Patricia Armstrong, his brothers Paul, Leonard and Jim.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bernie was a proud O.P.P. officer with 30 years of service.

He loved Boating and being on the water preferably the St. Clair River.

He enjoyed playing cards, bon fires, music and loved his sports.

He was a pillar of strength and never wavered with his support, love and loyalty to his family.

The late Bernie Armstrong is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, visitation will take place on Wednesday May 8, 2024 from 1-4pm at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church in Port Lambton.

There will be visitation at the church from 10-11 before the mass.

A private family interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
