Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday, July 15, 2024, at 6 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police received a 9-1-1 call, leading them to begin an investigation involving intimate partner violence in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned the man had attempted to assault and threatened his former wife’s life.
The 37-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested.
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.
He has been charged with assault, assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
