Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 18, 2024, at 2:34 a.m., police responded to Second Street in Chatham to investigate suspicious activity.
Upon arrival, officer located the woman hiding behind a display at the corner of King Street and Second Street.
The officer confirmed the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a June 27, 2024, theft investigation.
The 39-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released with a future court date.
She was charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
