Impaired driving charges laid in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 26, 2024, at 1:56 a.m., police observed the vehicle travelling on St. Clair Street in Chatham and conducted a traffic stop.

The officer believed the man driving to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for tests.

The 20-year-old Chatham Township man will be released with conditions and a future court date of August 12, 2024.

He is facing the following charges: impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit.
