Suspicious activity in Chatham leads to failing to attend court charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:17 p.m., police attend the area of Richmond Street and Patteson Avenue in Chatham to investigate suspicious activity.

Upon arrival, officers located the woman and confirmed she was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court to have her prints taken and a July 3, 2024, theft investigation.

The 27-year-old Chatham woman was transported to police headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of August 26, 2024.

She is currently facing the following charges: possession of stolen property and two counts of theft.
