Bench warrant executed in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In March 2021 a bench warrant was issued for the man’s arrest when he failed to attend court in relation to 2017 and 2019 assault investigations.

On July 30, 2024, at 11:27 a.m., the police located the man on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers confirmed the warrant and arrested the man.

The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

He is currently facing the following charges: failing to attend court, peace bond breach, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of uttering threats, three counts of assault with a weapon, and three counts of assault.
