Historical intimate partner violence investigation leads to charges in Chatham, brass knuckles seized

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Chatham-Kent Police began investigating allegations of historical intimate partner violence.

Based on the investigation, they arrested a 19-year-old Chatham man. He was charged with four counts of assault.

During a search, police found brass knuckles in his possession, leading to an additional charge of Possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was released with a future court date of October 21, 2024.
