Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On April 4, 2025, a 19-year-old male from Chatham-Kent was arrested for multiple criminal charges and was subsequently released with several conditions that he had to abide by.
On April 13, 2025, at approximately 3:59 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.
Police were informed that an individual had approached two youths in a park and offered and attempted to provide them with a nicotine vaping device. A description of the individuals was provided to officers.
Police officers located the male walking toward a nearby field and noted clear signs of impairment and intoxication by alcohol. Further checks revealed that the male was in breach of his conditions.
The accused was arrested for breaching his release conditions.
He was released with a scheduled future court date of April 14, 2025.
