Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 14, 2025, at approximately 7:52 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a possible break and enter involving a person unlawfully occupying a trailer.
Upon arrival, officers located a 46-year-old male from Chatham who identified himself with a name that was determined to be false.
Further investigation revealed that the male had permission to be at the property and possessed a key.
However, the individual continued to provide false information to officers despite being cautioned.
Officers confirmed the individual’s identity through investigations and discovered that he was wanted on outstanding, unendorsed warrants related to weapons offences and failing to attend court.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of obstructing police for providing a false name on two separate occasions to police.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where; he is currently being held for bail.
