Sarnia-Lambton Alerts adds new St. Clair River notification option

Residents in Sarnia-Lambton now have a new way to stay informed about potential industrial incidents affecting the St. Clair River and nearby communities.

Sarnia-Lambton Alerts has launched a new subscription option titled “St. Clair River – Industrial Notifications,” which will provide alerts related specifically to industrial incidents involving the river. The updates are designed to help keep downriver communities informed about events that may impact them.

To opt in, subscribers can log in to their account at https://bit.ly/SLAlerts, navigate to ‘My Subscriptions (Edit)’, select ‘St. Clair River – Industrial Notifications’ under Community Notifications, and click save.

The alerts are limited to industrial-related notices and do not replace official drinking water advisories or water quality notices issued by municipalities or public health authorities.

“Please continue to follow those sources for public drinking water updates,” the alert noted.

Users are also encouraged to review and update their contact details and notification methods while managing their preferences.

Questions about the new feature or help with account settings can be directed to sarnialambtonalerts@lambtonbases.ca.
