Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old man with no fixed address has been charged following a pair of retail thefts and a brief foot chase.
Police were called to a Quinn Drive business on July 23 at 11:20 a.m. for a theft in progress involving Ryobi cordless tools. The suspect had also allegedly stolen similar items from the same store the previous day.
At 11:40 a.m., officers spotted a man matching the description. When they attempted to arrest him, he fled but was caught five minutes later. The stolen items were recovered. The man was on probation at the time and was held for bail.
