Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 40-year-old Sarnia man wanted in connection with a 2024 theft in Chatham was arrested Monday afternoon in Ridgetown.
Chatham-Kent police say the man was identified following a May 15, 2024 incident where merchandise was stolen from a local retail store. A warrant was issued at the time.
Officers located and arrested the man without incident at a Jane Street residence on July 28. He was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He was released with conditions and turned over to Lambton OPP, who also held an outstanding warrant.
