Boaters can expect ideal conditions this weekend as the annual WAMBO event gets underway in Wallaceburg.
More than 30 boats have already registered for the festivities, which begin Friday.
Registration costs $30 and covers overnight docking for the entire weekend.
While registration is not required to participate, organizers say those who do will receive additional perks.
The event welcomes all types of boats, though classic vessels—defined as those built in 1990 or earlier—are a key feature of the show.
Boat manager Rob Dickson said there is still space available along the downtown wall and noted that several new additions have signed up, promising a fresh look at this year’s basin.
He can be reached at 519-330-3741 and will also be monitoring marine radio channel 68 throughout the weekend.
