Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Blenheim youth is facing charges after a teenager was assaulted during a large end-of-summer party in Raleigh Township early Saturday morning.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to the emergency room shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 23, where a victim had sought treatment for several broken and misaligned teeth. The teen reported being attacked from behind near the driveway of a Dillon Road residence, where the party was taking place.
According to police, the accused struck the victim multiple times in the head and face. Witnesses at the party confirmed the account, with one person intervening in the incident and another positively identifying the suspect as the aggressor.
Police later located the accused at his residence. A 16-year-old Blenheim male was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 24.
