Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Thamesville man is facing several charges after police stopped an off-road vehicle on McNaughton Avenue West Thursday night.
Police said they were called to the area around 10:24 p.m. on September 11 in response to a traffic complaint. Officers located the off-road vehicle, which was not displaying proper plates.
Investigators determined the 42-year-old driver had been suspended since 2014 due to unpaid fines. They also learned the vehicle had recently been purchased without the required documents.
The man was charged with driving while under suspension, operating a motor vehicle on a highway as the owner, and two counts related to operating an off-road vehicle. He was issued several Part III notices and is scheduled to appear in court on October 29.
