Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has announced the addition of Dr. Samuel Enokela to its obstetrics and gynecology department, further strengthening women’s health services across the community.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Enokela to CKHA,” said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, chief of staff. “His extensive training in various health care fields, combined with his dedication to comprehensive patient care, directly supports our strategic objective of enhancing services for women and children in Chatham-Kent. Dr. Enokela ensures we will continue to offer the high-quality, specialized OB/GYN care necessary to meet the growing needs of our community.”
Dr. Enokela completed a six-year undergraduate medical program in Nigeria, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees before receiving the Developing Solutions Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in public health at the University of Nottingham, where he graduated with honours in 2016.
He later undertook a seven-year Royal College–accredited postgraduate program in Scotland, earning his Certificate of Completion of Training in obstetrics and gynecology and becoming a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK).
“I’m honoured to begin my practice… and to contribute to the care of women and families in this region,” Dr. Enokela said. “My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and to help improve health outcomes for mothers and their babies.”
He will practise alongside Dr. Hamm and Dr. Smith at the clinic at 100 King Street in Chatham. Referrals can be faxed to 226-996-0088.
