Mr. Danny John Bergsma, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, in Chatham, at the age of 69.
Danny was born in British Columbia and was a son of the late Henry & Jenny Bergsma and son-in-law of the late Nin & Pearl Houston.
Beloved husband of Kathie (Houston) Bergsma.
Loving father of four Dennis, Wendy, Heather and Heidi.
Kind brother of Henry (Kim) Bergsma, Barb (Don) Dawson, Hilda (Carl) Tiffin, the late Roy Bergsma. Kind brother-in-law of Ken Houston, Shirley (the late Danny) and the late Bill Houston. Danny will be missed by a best friend Brenda Roffelsen and many nieces and nephews.
Danny was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved playing bingo and cards, enjoyed fishing but most importantly having Kathie by his side to enjoy everything together.
The late Danny Bergsma rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes, cremation will take place. A private family service will take place and his ashes will be interred in Riverview Cemetery, in Wallaceburg, at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
