Electronics donation boosts support for Chatham-Kent youth

A donation of laptops and cellphones from the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority will help more young people access digital tools and support services in Chatham-Kent.

Chris Hatt, associate vice-president of business solutions, donated 23 Dell laptops and 17 cellphones on behalf of the authority to Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports. The equipment is valued at $5,000.

“It’s very rewarding to be able to contribute to the success of our local youth,” Hatt said.

Linck is a multi-service agency that supports the well-being and safety of infants, children, youth and families across Chatham-Kent. Its work spans child and youth mental health, child development, youth justice and child welfare, emphasizing timely access to the right services.

All services are free and confidential for children and youth from birth to age 23, as well as their caregivers. The agency partners with local organizations to provide inclusive and culturally informed supports tailored to individual needs.

Linck’s mission, “Strong connections for a better future,” reflects its commitment to collaboration, compassion and care, with the goal of helping every child and youth in Chatham-Kent thrive.
