Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 22-year-old Chatham man is being held for a bail hearing after officers were called to a disturbance at a Harvey Street home late Tuesday night.
Police said officers arrived at about 10:29 p.m. and spoke with the man, who provided a false name. Through investigation, officers learned he had an outstanding warrant and had fled the residence while they were still on scene.
He was located a short time later and arrested. The man is charged with obstruction of a peace officer and failing to comply with a release order. He was taken to police headquarters and remains in custody.
