The Municipality of Chatham-Kent says a demolition contractor will be on site Monday, Dec. 15, to begin demolition work at 45 Queen St. N.
Municipal officials say the work is expected to be completed within two weeks. Demolition at 47 and 49 Queen St. N. will also resume as part of the project.
Minor traffic disruptions are anticipated during the demolition, but Queen Street North will remain open to traffic. Residents are being asked to use caution in the area and to keep clear of the demolition site while work is underway.
Once the demolition is complete, fencing and traffic barriers will be removed and the sidewalk will be reopened.
