Man and woman charged following probation breach in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 38-year-old man from Belle River and a 45-year-old woman from Tilbury are facing charges following a police response to a residence on Dufferin Avenue in Tilbury on December 29.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were called to the residence at approximately 2:10 p.m. after receiving reports of an unwanted individual inside a unit. Investigation determined the man was present in the residence despite being prohibited from doing so under court-ordered probation conditions that barred him from communicating with or being in the presence of the woman.

The man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with probation. The woman was also arrested and charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

Both were transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released. The man is scheduled to appear in court on February 9, 2026, while the woman is scheduled to appear on January 15, 2026.
