Walpole Island First Nation will hold New Year’s Eve fireworks at Highbanks Park on Dec. 31 at 6 p.m. Hot dogs and refreshments will be available starting at 4 p.m., with limited supply. The event is sponsored by Walpole Island Social Services.
A New Year’s feast will be held on Jan. 1, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walpole Island Elementary School. Volunteers are needed to cook, serve, clean, and deliver food. Preparation begins on New Year’s Eve at 6 p.m. at the Anglican Church, where volunteers should bring their own peelers.
