Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man is facing a charge after police responded to another report of an impaired driver on St. Clair Street.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to a restaurant at about 2:39 a.m. on Dec. 28, 2025. Police say the driver, a 24-year-old man from Chatham-Kent, showed signs of alcohol consumption and was given an Approved Screening Device demand.
The driver refused to comply and was arrested. He was charged with refusal to comply with a demand, taken to police headquarters, and later released with conditions. A court appearance has been scheduled for Feb. 3, 2026.
