Chatham-Kent Police swear in four new officers

The Chatham-Kent Police Service officially welcomed four new officers during a swearing-in ceremony held Jan. 6, 2026.

The ceremony took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. and marked the formal induction of Special Constable Mike James, along with Constables Cole Cote, Tristan Robinet and Austin Wagenaar.

Police say the event recognized an important milestone as the officers begin their policing careers serving the Chatham-Kent community.

The service extended thanks to Justice Pollock for presiding over the ceremony and assisting with the official proceedings.

Chatham-Kent police said they look forward to the contributions of the newly sworn officers and wished them continued success as they take on their new roles.
