Man charged with failing to comply after incident at Chatham business

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 39-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing charges after an incident at a business on King Street West.

Police were called to the business on Jan. 18, 2026, at about 12:44 a.m. for a report of an unwanted person. Investigators determined the man had exposed himself in the front doorway of the business.

Officers confirmed the man was bound by court conditions that prohibited him from attending that location. He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with an undertaking.

The man was held for bail and has since been released with a court date of Feb. 9, 2026.
