Wallaceburg man charged after intimate partner violence incident

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wallaceburg man is facing charges following a reported intimate partner violence incident on Murray Street.

Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to the area at about 10:27 a.m. on Jan. 28. An investigation determined a confrontation occurred between a man and his girlfriend, during which the man drove his truck over a curb and struck the woman. Police said the victim did not sustain any injuries.

A 56-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and assault with a weapon. He was transported to police headquarters and later released on a Form 10 with conditions and a future court date.
