Blenheim man charged after impaired driving investigation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 57-year-old Blenheim man is facing impaired driving charges following a report from concerned citizens.

Chatham-Kent police say officers responded at approximately 5 p.m. on March 4, 2026, after receiving a report of a possible impaired driver who had left a business on Marlborough Street in Blenheim.

Police located the driver shortly after the initial call and say he displayed signs of impairment.

The man was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further breath testing, where he provided two samples above the legal limit.

He has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

The accused was later released with a scheduled future court date.
