Chatham man charged after alleged break and enter at residence

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old Chatham man is facing charges following an alleged break and enter at a residence.

Chatham-Kent Police Service says officers responded to the incident at about 7:47 a.m. on March 7.

Police allege the accused attended a residence belonging to a 32-year-old woman, kicked open the door and damaged property inside the home.

Officers located the suspect and arrested him.

He has been charged with break and entering a dwelling house to commit an indictable offence and mischief for damaging property.

The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court June 9, 2026.
