Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man has been charged following an assault reported in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of an altercation between two individuals on Young Street at about 5:18 p.m. on March 9.
Police said an investigation determined a dispute escalated when a 41-year-old man from Chatham allegedly assaulted a 70-year-old man from Tilbury, causing minor injury.
No additional medical attention was required.
The accused was charged with one count of assault and transported to police headquarters, where he was later released with a scheduled court date of May 19, 2026.
