OPP seek public’s help after off-road vehicle complaint in Corunna (Photos)

OPP officials allege: Members of the Lambton Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s assistance following a traffic complaint involving off-road vehicles in Corunna.

Police say they received the complaint on Monday, March 9, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., regarding an incident that occurred the previous day. At about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, four-wheeler and dirt bike riders were allegedly driving carelessly, racing and performing stunts near Beckwith Street.

Photos of the individuals involved were released, and investigators are asking for help identifying the person or persons of interest.

Lambton OPP are reminding riders that off-road vehicles must be registered, display a licence plate and be insured under a motor vehicle liability policy.

Police also emphasized that riders should “always ride according to the trail, road and weather conditions,” “use extreme caution when turning, crossing, climbing and descending hills,” and “drive sober – it’s illegal to drive while impaired by alcohol or drugs.”

Additional reminders include riding in designated areas only, respecting the environment, keeping noise levels low and reviewing provincial regulations governing where off-road vehicles are permitted.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Lambton County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 9-1-1 in an emergency. Anonymous tips can be provided through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
