Woman charged after disturbance on King Street East

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: An 18-year-old woman is facing a charge after a disturbance early Tuesday morning on King Street East in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded at approximately 12:17 a.m. on March 31 to reports of a group causing a disturbance in a parking lot.

Police said multiple calls indicated individuals were yelling and moving between a residential unit and the parking lot.

Officers located an 18-year-old woman who showed signs of intoxication. She was arrested and charged with intoxication in a public place.

She was taken to police headquarters and held until sober before being released with a provincial offence notice.
